Daniel Joseph Martinez: The Fully Enlightened Earth Radiates Disaster Triumphant commemorates the artist's selection as the United States representative at the 10th International 2006 Cairo Bienial. A post-Tactical media practitioner, Martinez employs mutation and schizophrenia in his artwork to investigate politics and radical beauty. Ongoing themes include contamination, history, nomadic power, cultural resistance, dissentience and systems of symbolic exchange.
